ELEGANCE IN MOTION
Lanvin embarks on an artistic journey with renowned French choreographer, dancer and filmmaker Benjamin Millepied.
“With this film I wanted to create a Gesamtkunstwerk of sorts. A dance that connected and reflected everything that is Lanvin through the beautiful performance of Coline. In the dance, she becomes one with the music, the movement, the dresses. Her inner life, her freedom of expression, are expressed in a fleeting, ephemeral moment of grace.”

ABOUT 'ELEGANCE IN MOTION'
Known for his innovative fusion of classical ballet and contemporary dance, Millepied has created a choreography and film for Lanvin that captures at once the sublime freedom of a body in motion and the singular essence of Lanvin, a symbol of a unique feminine power and artistry. The short film showcases dancer and model Coline Omasson dressed in the house’s iconic charmeuse gowns and ballerina flats, projecting the quintessential Lanvin woman.
Benjamin Millepied embodies a way of thinking in motion, a unique articulation between the culture of classical ballet and the freedom of contemporary dance. Between Los Angeles and Paris, he works tirelessly to write the future of an artistic discipline that has long remained classic. Romeo and Juliet, Reflexions, Hearts & Arrows are just some of the creations with which the L.A. Dance Project, where he serves as Founder and Artistic Director, has performed all over the world. As Director of Dance at the Opéra de Paris, he breathed new life into the company with a radical and ambitious program. With an exceptional flair for capturing dance, he more recently developed his work as a filmmaker, entering the realm of mainstream cinema for the first time with his contemporary interpretation of Carmen.
